Gloria Steinem

On Sexism in Film
"If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck and walks like a duck and you think it's a pig, it's a pig. Trust your judgment and speak up when something is wrong," Steinem encouraged the audience at a screening of Miss Representation, January 2011.

Ed Note: Is this a form of pin-up feminist calendar art? Focusing on Ms. Steinem's awesome sandals & shades, and including a photo of her in a favorite old school starlet pose, the bubble bath shot? The history of cheesecake imagery is a dialect of feminism. And fierce vintage looks are just as valid a form of communication as fuck off looks of Feminist Boredom. (As the genius Kara Jesella said better: "feminist boredom is so real. also, kind of hot.")
